Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah has paid an emotional tribute to late actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo on what would have been her 43rd birthday.

Beverly Afaglo reportedly died last week at the age of 42, with her musician husband, Eugene Baah, announcing the heartbreaking news of her passing.

On Thursday, 28 May 2026, Jackie Appiah took to Instagram to honour her late colleague, admitting that Beverly Afaglo’s death still felt unreal.

Jackie Appiah thanked the actress for the memories, laughter and moments they shared while working together on film sets throughout their careers.

“Happy heavenly birthday. It still doesn’t feel real. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the moments we shared on set. Rest gently, legend,” Jackie Appiah wrote.

The touching Jackie Appiah Tribute quickly drew reactions from fans and colleagues, many of whom also shared emotional messages remembering Beverly Afaglo’s warmth and vibrant personality.

Actress Juliet Ibrahim also mourned the deceased, describing Beverly Afaglo as a kind soul and a good friend whose death left her deeply hurt and speechless.

The tribute comes amid a difficult period for the African entertainment industry, which has witnessed several painful losses in recent months.

Earlier this month, actor Alex Ekubo reportedly died at the age of 40 following complications linked to advanced metastatic kidney cancer. His family described his battle with the illness as courageous and heartbreaking.

The industry also mourned actor and producer Solomon Akiyesi, who reportedly died in his sleep in Abuja, alongside several other entertainers whose deaths shocked fans across Nigeria and Ghana.
