Priscilla Ojo welcomes baby Rakeem to Nigeria with Juma Jux, as Iyabo Ojo hosts grand celebration filled with music, family joy, and tradition

Priscilla Ojo welcomes baby Rakeem to Nigeria, arriving alongside her husband, Tanzanian music star Juma Jux, to a jubilant reception hosted by her mother, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.

Their return marked baby Rakeem’s first visit to Nigeria, greeted with drummers, singing, and dancing in a vibrant homecoming held in Lagos.

In a video shared on Iyabo Ojo’s Instagram page on Tuesday, a surprised and emotional Priscilla was seen walking into the celebration, while Juma proudly cradled their son.

The event drew notable guests and family members, including entrepreneur and Priscilla’s godmother, Chioma Ikokwu, popularly known as Chioma GoodHair, who commented, “My prince is here.”

She also revealed via Instagram that Priscilla had phoned her from the United States with the joyful news: “Priscilla called me in America and said, ‘Godmama, I’m bringing your godson to you in Lagos,’ and I said yes!”

This Lagos gathering followed a lavish 40-day celebration and naming ceremony in Tanzania earlier this month, where the couple welcomed guests in traditional style, with Juma seen dancing energetically to drums.

Priscilla documented their journey from Tanzania to Nigeria on her Instagram story, showing tender moments with her husband and expressing heartfelt thanks: “Rakeem is lucky. Thank you, Glamma and Godmother iyaboojofespris and chiomagoodhair.”

PUNCH Online earlier reported that Priscilla gave birth to baby Rakeem in Canada on 24 August 2025. Following his birth, the couple travelled to Juma’s home country for the first major celebration.

Their arrival in Lagos marks not only a symbolic cultural moment but also a deep expression of familial love and unity.

Iyabo Ojo, a well-loved figure in Nigerian entertainment, appeared beaming in several clips as she welcomed her daughter and grandson home.
