In a video posted on her verified Instagram page, Ojo expressed anger over the impersonator’s activities, accusing the person of spreading false news, misleading fans, and profiting off her identity.

“This video is directed to whoever it is that is impersonating me and using my name. It has 2.7 million followers on Facebook,” Ojo said. “I have tried to report this account to Facebook.

The person went and changed it to Iyabo Ojo Lovers, so at the time Facebook thought it was my fan page. This is not my page.”

The actress explained that while the issue had persisted for some time, her concern grew when she realised people believed the fake page was genuinely hers. “A lot of people think I own the page. That’s why I joined Facebook myself — to report pages like this,” she said.

Issuing a stern warning, Ojo demanded that the impersonator remove her name and photo immediately, threatening action if the page remains online.

“Take my name off this page and my picture. Because the next time you look for this page, it will be gone. I’m not capping with you,” she warned.

Condemning the impersonator for exploiting her popularity, Ojo said, “You’ve used my name to gather 2.7 million followers. If you want to be a blogger, create your own identity.”

She further highlighted the widespread problem of social media impersonation, noting that several fake accounts on Facebook and TikTok continue to use her identity.

“Everything I post on my page, you go and post on this page. You are definitely monitoring me,” she added.

The actress urged the impersonator to stop spreading misinformation and warned others against similar behaviour. “Why are you using my name to be blogging? Making people feel like I’m a blogger.

It’s not funny anymore because you post different news using my picture. It’s madness,” she said.

Ojo concluded by urging her fans to be cautious and verify pages before engaging, reaffirming her commitment to protecting her name and credibility online.
