Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has shared a shocking experience of narrowly escaping injury after a stray bullet entered his hotel room in the United States

 

Popular Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has recounted a shocking experience, revealing that he narrowly avoided being hit by a stray bullet while in a hotel room in the United States.

Kuti shared a video online, showing the damage caused by the bullet as it penetrated his hotel room window.

Expressing his shock and concern, Kuti explained in the video that he had been resting in his room just prior to the incident.

“Tell me you’re in America without telling me you’re in America. I’m in my hotel room just chilling and boom,” he said.

Kuti also used the opportunity to question the level of safety in the country, highlighting the potentially fatal consequences of the stray bullet.

“I read somewhere that these are the civilized people,” he wrote.

Following the incident, fans and friends of the musician have urged him to stay safe.

Seun Kuti has not disclosed his precise location, only indicating that he was “downtown”.
