Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has firmly denied a viral social media post that alleged she was involved in a past relationship with singer Bella Shmurda.

The controversy began on Monday after a user on the social media platform X made claims suggesting that Uche Jombo and Bella Shmurda had been romantically involved in 2021, before the singer rose to mainstream prominence.

The post quickly gained traction, spreading across multiple online communities and prompting widespread reactions.

By Wednesday, Uche Jombo publicly addressed the allegation, dismissing it as false and misleading.

She warned the individual responsible for the post to remove it immediately, stressing that her reputation must not be dragged into unverified narratives.

The actress further cautioned that failure to comply could result in legal consequences, signalling a serious stance against what she described as reputational harm.

Uche Jombo emphasised that her name and image should not be used in content intended to generate engagement or attention.

In her response, she wrote: “This is how you lots think everything is click bait till you are in jail. Delete this lie immediately. I’m not one to play with. If you can’t respect the name, respect my age. This is your final warning. Remove my name and image from this.”

The incident highlights the growing challenge of misinformation on social media platforms, where unverified claims about public figures can spread rapidly and trigger reputational concerns.
