Headlined by music heavyweights Davido, Timaya, KCEE, and highlife icon Bright Chimezie, the evening quickly transformed into a musical spectacle, with the audience singing, dancing and cheering in unison.

The highlight of the night came as Davido stormed the stage to deafening cheers. His hit song ‘With You’ sent fans into a frenzy, with many singing along to every lyric.

The Afrobeat superstar’s presence energised the crowd, some of whom had waited hours just to see him perform live in the Abia State capital.

Then came Bright Chimezie, the celebrated highlife veteran, whose performance of ‘Because of English’ brought a wave of nostalgia and jubilation.

His vibrant stagecraft and infectious rhythms had fans dancing in every corner of the stadium, with some even climbing onto chairs to keep the groove alive.

Some fans even fondly referred to Davido as “our in-law”, a reference to his marriage to Chioma, a native of Igbo land. This affectionate nickname only fuelled the singer’s connection with the local audience, reinforcing his broad appeal across ethnic and generational lines.

The success of the concert marked a cultural milestone for Umuahia and a strong launch for Igbokwe’s broadcasting ventures.
