Mercy Aigbe receives royal treatment as she pays courtesy visit to the Oba of Benin (Photos)

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe was recently given a befitting treatment during her visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin in Benin City, Edo State.

The Edo-State indigene was in Benin for the Edo Film Festival where she was specially recognized by the governor.

Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Kazim Adeoti paid a quick visit to the Oba’s palace where they met with the Queen.

Mercy took to her Instagram page to share photos from their visit as she appreciated the Queen for her sweet gesture towards her.

“Quick Visit to the Oba of Benin Palace to see my Queen @queenewuare. Thank you for the gifts my queen. Uwese oloi”.

Mercy Aigbe was recently honored by the Edo State government at Edo State Film Festival.

The mum of two was recognized by the governor for her great impact in the movie industry.

Appreciating the government and organisers of the festival for the award and recognition.

“My immense gratitude to the organizers of Edo State Film Festival and Big thank you to the Edo State government for this award and recognition…I am humbled. Edo to the world!!!!”.

Mercy Aigbe’s visit to the palace is coming days after her ex-husband, Lanre Gentry and his new wife, Busayo Gentry, were left overwhelmed with love as they received a courtesy visit of the paramount ruler of Olu Ikere of Ekiti State, His Royal Majesty Oba Alayeluwa Obasanyin Ayodele Ganiyu.

A delighted Busayo Gentry shared videos and photos from the king’s visit with an appreciation caption, revealing how overwhelmed she was to receive royalty in her home.
