In a candid interview with media personality VJ Adams, Simi explained that her introverted nature often clashes with the demands of the spotlight.

Simi clarified that while she has acquaintances and “guys” in the industry, these relationships aren’t deep friendships formed solely due to their shared profession.

“I’m really bad at that and I always say that I think I have the wrong personality for the industry I have the passion for. I’m only doing music because I like music,” Simi told VJ Adams.

“My friends in the industry they’re my guys. They’re not friends because they are in the industry,” she explained to VJ Adams.

The talented vocalist further elaborated on her passion for music, contrasting it with her discomfort in the often-extroverted social dynamics that characterize the entertainment world.

“I’m really bad at that and I always say that I think I have the wrong personality for the industry I have the passion for. I’m only doing music because I like music and there are many things that I like and know how to do but I feel like my personality is not compatible.”

Simi admitted that networking and engaging in the typical social interactions of the industry don’t come naturally to her. “I’m really not good at networking and I don’t know how to engage like that.

The rapport I even have with you I don’t have with many people in the media. These things don’t come to me naturally so I have to be extra at it,” she told VJ Adams, highlighting the effort it takes for her to connect with people, even within the media.
