Addressing the crowd, Allyson stressed that their connection was rooted in shared creativity rather than religious identity. “Lateef is a creative, I am a creative.

Religion can’t separate us. Lateef is a child of God, I am a child of God. We see our father differently, Lateef is my brother,” she declared.

Adedimeji, visibly moved, echoed her sentiments. He praised Allyson’s music for its spiritual depth, saying it speaks to him in ways that transcend faith boundaries.

“Listening to Aunty Sola’s songs doesn’t make me less of a Muslim; your songs speak to me just like a Muslim song would. God is a formless entity,” he said.

The duo’s performance was met with a rousing ovation, with concertgoers celebrating the display of unity and mutual respect.

This is not the first time the pair’s collaboration has sparked public debate. Their joint appearance in 2022 raised questions due to their different faiths.

Yet both artistes have consistently insisted that religion should never overshadow friendship or artistry, with Adedimeji and his wife even featuring in Allyson’s music video “Ife a dale.”
