Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has relaunched his ministerial work as the Yul Edochie ministry, unveiling a new name and a controversial blend of traditional and Christian doctrines, sparking varied reactions
The Yul Edochie ministry has officially been revived, as the Nollywood actor announced the relaunch of his online church with a new name and direction.
In a recent social media post, Yul Edochie shared a fresh flyer introducing the rebranded ministry and outlining what his followers should expect.
This announcement surprised many fans. Some expressed curiosity, while others shared mixed reactions about the actor’s evolving spiritual journey.
The actor, who recently welcomed a baby, initially launched his online ministry, True Salvation Ministry, in early 2024.
However, it went silent after holding only a few services. During its brief activity, Edochie claimed to perform miracles, with at least one woman publicly sharing a testimony of healing she received during a service.
In his new Instagram post, the movie star revealed he is reviving his ministerial work. It comes with a new direction and name: True Gospel and Eternal Salvation Ministry.
The movie star explained that his revamped ministry would blend traditional beliefs with Christian doctrine.
He referred to himself as both a traditionalist and a prophet. He used a promotional flyer where he was dressed in traditional attire to make this announcement.
This shift did not sit well with many Nigerians online, especially as Yul had previously claimed that God instructed him to return to traditional practices.
The news has since sparked mixed reactions. Some observers question the spiritual legitimacy of his evolving path.
Fans have shared diverse comments on Yul Edochie’s post.
