Jim Iyke, veteran Nollywood actor, has opened up about his brief foray into music, describing the experience as a humbling life lesson rather than a failure.

The actor admitted his stint in music was never driven by passion but by a playful dare. “Doing music was a regrettable experience; not in a bitter way, but in a humbling one. At that point, it was just fun. 2Baba and I had a great time with it,” Iyke confessed.

He explained that while recording and performing was exciting, it was not sustainable. “I could have built a career from it, but I would have ended up as one of those mediocre acts still stumbling along. That’s not me. I know my limits,” he said.

Despite stepping away, Iyke insists the experience was valuable. “I don’t live with regrets, only lessons and triumphs.

Music gave me a glimpse into another world, and I enjoyed it. But when the fever calmed, I knew it was time to return to what I did best,” he added.
